5 Time Saving Life Hacks
1. Making the bed starts when you fold the Laundry.
Making beds easier and faster starts with the way you fold the sheets and blankets. When you take them out of the dryer, fold them lengthwise (hot dog style) first. The rest of the folds don't really matter.
As you unfold them to put them on your bed you have a straight fold right down the center of the sheet or blanket. Simply align the center fold with the center of the bed.
Now when you’re making the bed both sides will hang over the bedside evenly. No more going back and forth from side to side to get it right! (Come on, am I the only one who needs things even??).
2. Did you get a berry stain on your clothes?
To remove ANY berry stain from clothing or linens, boil water and pour it directly on the stain. As you pour the boiling water on the cloth watch the stain disappear before your eyes. This only works for berries, but it can be any kind of berry (blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, etc). Then wash as normal!
3. Having trouble getting your safety pin or needle through fabric?
If you have a needle or safety pin that has a hard time getting through the fabric, stick it in a bar of soap first. After that it will slide right in. (learned that one from baby diaper days.)
4. If you lost the tip of your shoelace...
To re-lace your shoe simply wrap or roll clear tape around the frayed end. It goes into the hole much easier that way. (This can also be useful when helping children string beads or noodles on a yarn necklace).
5. Trouble re-stringing a hoodie?
To restring a hoodie (or any drawstring) first attach a safety pin to the end. This will help you grip the end as you pull it through, allowing you to restring it much faster.
